Another book I picked up because I liked the cover, Recovering Charles by Jason Wright did not disappoint.

It is the touching story of a man struggling to forgive his alcoholic father while searching for him in post-Katrina ruins. I loved the lessons of forgiveness and love, but I also loved the perspective on Katrina. I’ve already let the Katrina tragedy become a mere bit of history in my mind. This book helped me bring it back to the front of my mind, and re-live some important emotions.

What about you? Is the Katrina hurricane already forgotten?
