Fay Klinger’s A Woman’s Power

I was given a copy of A Woman’s Power by Fay Klinger to review. The book is written about women’s strength and relationship with God from a Latter Day Saint perspective.

A synopsis of the book: “For any woman who’s ever felt like she’s hanging on by a single thread, this inspiring book reveals the truth: you’re surrounded by threads of strength and power that can bring you safety, peace, and lasting happiness. All you have to do is grab hold of them. Uplifting and empowering, this book offers women everywhere a message of hope.”

Fay discusses finding strength through prayer, patience, supporting each other, goal setting and more while using the scriptures and personal stories to add richness and depth to the subjects she writes about.

I enjoyed her take on familiar scripture stories. She pulls out elements I have never considered, and applies them to our lives — how to communicate with God, how to solve problems, etc.

I also enjoyed the personal stories, stories of friends, and stories of ancestors she shared throughout the book. They were interesting while illustrating ways to become stronger and to trust more in our own abilities as we draw closer to God.
