How to Celebrate a Half Birthday

by Rebecca on September 7, 2010

Did you know?  Half birthdays do not require a lot of fanfare, but they do require a certain amount of attention.

To do a half birthday properly, wish a happy half birthday to the half-birthday girl.  Give her lots of kisses and tell her how much you love her.

Then give her a half donut (chocolate please).

If she is an adult (and I am), she can eat the other half after the toddler is asleep.

Happy half birthday to me!  (A few days late.)

And thank you to my husband for remembering and showering me with the undeserved, silly attention I absolutely relish and adore on such a silly day of remembrance.

GREAT idea, especially about eating the other half when no one is looking. I think we need to celebrate our half birthdays around here!

I love that you celebrate half birthdays, we do too! In fact, all three are coming up in Nov! I have been doing little cakes, but a donut, now there is an idea!

Is it your half birthday again, ALREADY?! My, time flies! Just be grateful I’m nowhere near – or you would have no other half of donut to eat after toddler falls asleep. :) Glad it was a fun celebration!

I always celebrate my half birthday with a “Hey it’s my half birthday” comment. Plus, it’s easy to remember because it’s also Rochelle’s real birthday :) I need to celebrate like you.

I love donuts!
