Smart Girl

by Rebecca on July 16, 2010

The world of “Pretend” is upon us.  Multiple times a day, Lydia “pretends” something.  It’s fun to watch her imagination explode down different paths, and even more fun to see when a mature grasp on reality comes out.

Today, she said, “Pretend I’m a mommy.”

“Ok,” I said.  “Who is your baby?”

She told me I was, so I pretended to cry.

She immediately said, “Ok, I’m not Mommy anymore.  You’re Mommy again.”

Smart girl.  Who wants to deal with a wailing baby?  Life lesson learned today: When the going gets tough (aka: the baby starts crying), pass the responsibility off to someone else!

Hee Hee Cameron does the exact thing! Sometimes they are such twinners.

She really is one smart cookie! I think that’s what Grandmas do too! We have the best of both worlds!
