Watching and listening to a toddler learn to speak is one of the funniest experiences. Sometimes, you don’t know exactly where your toddler learns some things and it’s just funny to hear big grown-up sentences come out of their mouths. Like when Lydia starts her sentences with, “Umm…actually…”
But the best is when they start parroting compliments. It’s quite rewarding. Like when you’re getting ready for the day and your two year old walks up to you, glances at you and says, “Oh! You look pretty, Mommy!”
I don’t know exactly where she learned to say that, but I hope there’s lots more where that came from! Maybe if I start giving her candy every time she says it…
