YAY! SHE’S HERE!

Grandma Diamond (that’s Lydia-speak for Grandma Diane) is here!  You should have seen the little dear jumping up and down, eyes wide with excitement when we talked about the upcoming visit.

All up until this week, we’ve been telling her about Grandma Diamond.  So, naturally, she’s been telling us all about Grandma Diamond.  For instance, according to Lydia, Grandma Diamond is going to kiss all of Lydia’s stuffed animals.  She’s going to sit in a certain chair at the dinner table.  She is going to read stories to Lydia.  She’s going to color with Lydia and sing songs to her.

All the talking prepared her just perfectly.  When she saw Grandma Diamond last night, she gave her lots of hugs and told her lots of nonsensical things in nonrecognizable words.  And Grandma Diamond just laughed her happy laugh.

We love Grandma Diamond.
