Book of the Week – Listen to the Wind

by Rebecca on January 26, 2009

Remember the fabulous book, Three Cups of TeaRemember the great message it promotes of peace through education?  Wouldn’t you love for your children to know the story of Greg Mortenson and his schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan?

Well, now there is a fantastic picture book that tells the story in simple language!

Listen to the Wind is told from the perspective of the children from the first school Greg Mortenson built.  On top of the great story, the collage illustrations are delightful!  You can’t go wrong with this book.  If you purchase it through the link at www.threecupsoftea.com, up to 7% will go towards the Central Asia Institute.

And remember, if you decide to donate anything to the Central Asia Institute, send me an email at thrilledbythethought {at} yahoo {dot} com or leave a comment anywhere on this site so we can track how much Thrilled by the Thought readers have donated.  So far, we have donated $78!  Remember, it only takes $1.00 to send a child to school for a month.
