And the Winner is…

by Rebecca on November 29, 2008

So sorry it’s taken me until halfway through the day to post the winner.  I’ve been Christmas shopping like a mad woman.

The winner of the book, Three Cups of Tea is Jolena who said,

I’ve wanted to read this for a long time! I’d love to win it and will go with your rules.

If you would like to know what she means by rules, click here to read the details of this giveaway.  I truly wish I could give this book to everyone who commented because it is so inspiring.  If you are devastated you didn’t win, you could bug Jolena to pass it on to you when she is done or you could buy it at www.threecupsoftea.com.  If you buy it through that site, up to 7% of the proceeds will be donated to the Central Asia Institute.

Now, the other part:  Like I said before, I am going to donate $1.00 each time the book is passed along and I invite any willing readers to do the same.  You can donate online here or mail your donation to Central Asia Institute, P.O. Box 7209, Bozeman, MT 59771, or you can call 406-585-7841.

If you do donate, please drop me a little note at thrilledbythethought {at} yahoo {dot} com so I can keep track of how much Thrilled by the Thought readers donate.  I would like Thrilled by the Thought readers to eventually donate $50,000- the cost of building one school and supporting it for 3-5 years.  It’s a hefty goal, but I know it can be done.  Each time the book is passed around, I will donate $1.00 and invite readers to do the same.  Eventually, we can donate enough to build a new school!

If you would like, please spread the word about these donations.  I will constantly be posting updates on the whereabouts of the book and how much Thrilled by the Thought readers have donated.

Yay! I’m so excited! How do I get the book?

Good job Jolena. Enjoy. I don’t think one can read the book and not feel motivated to help. I donated $5. today by phone and even ordered the calendar. Rather my money go to this worthy project than the kiosk at the mall where I normally buy my calendar. Lets all keelp up the good work. We are on our way to building a school. :)
